thunderstorm warning tonight: tornado is watching you!

restless in the Midwest

I am flighty, mighty, itchy and twitchy
yearning for something bigger than vanilla Oreo cookies
crunchy before they hit the milk.

I am acid reflux in a tummy
overdosing on Coke's brown burn.

I am ready, but tethered;
mouthy and all eyes.
Listening to the thunder
that blends little girl dirt under big toes
with a Grown Woman groove, but

she still needs that sock monkey
under her arm.

I am here, but will soon be there; flesh and photo; girl and woman.

Come and go,
but don't forget to wipe your feet on the mat.

Ukulele Power

The intro to the concert is really lovely.

What do I do? That’s a question with more depth than the deceiving three-word construction would lead us to believe.

I live on planet earth with other folks, and I’m involved in the field of education and learning. I’m a life-long learner with a passion for knowledge and the process of bending bits of ideas into new constructions of beauty.
